Walk from Redding to DQ University
organized by Dennis Banks, Chancellor of DQU.

Circa 1980.

Photo taken as walkers were approaching DQU.

In the front are Chancellor of DQU Dennis Banks
and visionary business man Alvin Duskin, followed
by dedicated supporters including Buddhist monks.

In the 1970s, Buddhist monks were told by their
spiritual leader in Japan to support the struggle
of Native Americans in the United States. For many
years a group of Buddhist monks regularly participated
and aided American Indian activism in the Bay Area
and on the walks across the continent.
